I had an amazing time yesterday with my friend & fellow photog Sandy Allen and her children. Sandy is an amazing photographer here in the Austin area that I met through my volunteer work with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Organization. Not only does she have a thriving photography business, but she also is the Austin Area Coordinator for our NILDMTS group. She keeps us organized and scheduled despite her own demands from her work & family. If I haven’t told you this before, Sandy, I’m not only in awe of what you do, but also very thankful to have met such a great friend. I encourage any photographer out there to get involved in your local photography community. You will meet people with similiar interests & passions and also be able to bounce ideas off of them. I dont know how many times Sandy and I have called each other up and said “what do you think about his vendor/product” or “I’m thinking about adding this collection to my pricing, what do you think.” She’s an invaluable person to me, and I’m very thankful!
So cut to the chase…. we head out….. 5 kids age 6 and under in tow…. juice sippy cups, peanut butter sandwiches and baggies of goldfish crackers. We finally arrive at our location and the kids scatter like ants, each one of them running in different directions. Numerous muddy feet, dirty faces, and one pee pee accident later, I ended up with these fun shots! Looking forward to seeing the photos you captured Sandy! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!
