I have been documenting my dear friend Blair’s life for many years now. I was there to photograph her side of the family in 2008 and also there to photograph her newborn daughter back in 2009. She was one of the ones that allowed me to practice on her way back in February 2007 when I was starting to learn the ends and outs of photography. <—- thank you for that Miss B!
This time, she wanted me to capture the close bond she has with her husband’s family. I left Round Rock at the crack of dawn, which was amazing by the way. If you haven’t gotten up early to watch the sunrise, you must do it soon. The drive out to Cameron was breathtaking! And when I arrived at their family’s ranch, the smell of breakfast filled the house. The kids were playing around in the livingroom, the adults stood around the kitchen bar area drinking coffee and eating pigs in a blanket. I immediately felt at home. There is just something about country folk; their hospitality is endless. It was a wonderful session with a wonderful family.
