I can’t lay claim to this idea, but I knew as soon as I saw it on Pinterest, I just had to do it. I had told the hubster a few days ago of my plan for Elfie Rojo to bring donuts to the kids for breakfast one morning, and he was in on the game plan. He came home Friday evening, pulled me aside and whispered to me that he had brought a box of donuts home so that Saturday morning we could do the whole donut thing with Rojo. Game on! I was so excited! Just the day before I had painstakingly decorated little donuts (aka cheerios). I even went so far as to google how to make a box to hold the tiny donuts and found this tutorial. Hubby hid the donuts in the pantry – check, little donuts in a box – check, hearing my oldest digging thru the pantry and exclaiming “Hey we have donuts!” Fail!
Well, after rethinking the situation, we still went for it. The kids found Elfie Rojo the next morning perched on a monster truck eating his sprinkle covered donut. We told them that it looked like Rojo wanted to eat some donuts too since Daddy brought us donuts. Plan saved, kids happy! And that’s all that matters!
Interested in seeing more Elfie Rojo antics? I’ve got days 1 through 10 up on my Rae of Light Photography Facebook fan page. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season so far!
