Self Portrait x12 March

So March is here, and the next installment of the Self Portrait x12 project is due.  If you want, check out Jaunuary’s post and February’s post.    Every month comes, and I start to panic a bit because I find myself waiting till the last minute to get these done even though I swear I’m going to get them done early.    And honestly, a part of me wants to skip a month because I don’t want to deal with the stress of it all.   But, that is the whole idea behind this project, to get more photos of me in front of the camera instead of being behind it all the time. Now that it’s done, I am so very thankful I did it despite the stress.   I had so much fun with my oldest son Gavin the day we did these photos. It only took about 15 minutes total, but what a great 15 minutes it was. I really wanted to get a good shot of us smiling together and being sweet, but I also wanted to get some shots of us being silly because that’s what we do.  To him, I am still funny and pretty cool.   I know the older he gets, there will come a time, when I won’t be so cool or funny, and he’ll shun me in front of his friends because it wont be cool to kiss or hug your Mom in front of your friends.  <—– which makes me sad.  🙁    Hopefully that stage will pass quickly.    Until then, I can still be silly and joke around with Gavin, and he loves it.   During our little session together, we had a funny face contest to see who could make the other one laugh harder…. uh, yea, I think he won. I haven’t laughed so much in a long time.

Check out the Kristy’s self portrait for this month!  Crazy how everything is so green and Spring-like here, while Kristy’s photos have SNOW!!!  Something we don’t see much here in Texas.
