“Getting air” – Both wheels off the ground.” Definition from Dirt Bike Terminology.
I kind of felt this way when the Grandma of this sweet boy asked if he could bring his dirt bike to our session. How awesome is this?? I was so excited, my head was in the clouds. The bike was wheeled off the back of the truck and was pushed over to the alleyway. I was told that if it was started up and driven over to the alley, it would have been extremely loud. So, it was agreed, it was going to be pushed. However, this thing was heavy, but Mr. D handled it like a pro. It’s hard for me to imagine that a boy this size can handle a bike this heavy, but he’s strong and was very determined through out the entire session to handle the bike on his own. Someday I think it would be neat if I actually saw Mr. D ride competitively. I’m sure with his determination and his strength, he definitely would be getting air during his race!
