Back at the end of February, our sweet Macy Mae never came home. Most days she would sit on the back porch chair and bask in the sun. However, one day, she just never came to the back door and meowed to be let back in. We called her microchip company to let them know, put up signs around the neighborhood and walked for blocks and blocks calling her name, but alas, she was never found. We were heartbroken; I think I was more upset than the kids were. Isn’t it crazy how attached we get to our pets? Months have passed and we decided that we were ready to add another sweet baby to our family. This is where Miss Sophie comes in, aka Love Bug. We rescued her from the shelter and are completely in love with this 2 lb, blue eyed, fur ball. She is super tiny! I love her pink and black nose and I love that although she is so little, she has a purr of a cat that is 10 times her size. In an effort to get a few quick photos of her the other day, I realized just how cooperative she was. So in true photographers fashion, we had a little impromptu “newborn” session.
