My Girly Girl ~ Round Rock Child Photographer

Thanks to Mimi, Miss T has her very own makeup table. My husband has found her sitting at this very table at 7 in the mornings, just quietly putting on her “lipstick & blush.” Lord knows I’m going to have my hands full when she’s a teenager. I seriously dont know where she gets it either, I myself, hardly ever where makeup anymore. Most days my hair is thrown back into a ponytail and I wear jeans and sweatshirt with my Nike running shoes. (notice how Miss T has her princess heels on)?

Not soon after the above shot, my daughter Teagan, wanted to play outside. So with her heels on, purse, and cell phone (see it there on her hip), she heads out front to go walk her baby in the stroller. Even though the teen years make me a little nervous, I am loving every minute of this girly girl behavior (especially since I never thought I’d have a girl after having my two sons).

Round Rock Texas

The kids and I headed out to the park the other day. And as usual, I had my camera in hand ready for anything fun and exciting. And although I got a few fun shots of the kids, what amazed me more is the landscape and surroundings. For those of you that are not familiar with Round Rock Texas, it’s namesake comes from literally a round rock in the middle of a creek bed.

The Round Rock marked a low water wagon crossing in Brushy Creek. One hundred year old wagon ruts are still visible in the creek bottom.

Further down the creek, the kids enjoyed feeding the ducks and playing by the banks.

Hey Rach…Love the pics of the kiddos! I can’t believe how big they’re getting. It’s been such a long time since we’ve been able to hang out. Give us a call and we’ll get something on the calendar soon. ๐Ÿ™‚ Miss you guys.

2008 What an Amazing Year!

As 2008 comes to a close, I can’t help but think back at all the wonderful people I photographed this past year. For a brief moment, I get to be a first hand witness to each family’s life and love. And with each session, I come away with feeling more blessed than I did just a few hours before. I’ve had a chance to be a part of your pregnancies and be one of a special few that get to hold and cuddle your newborns. I have played with your children and laughed with the parents; I have witnessed the beginnings of an engagement, and the beginning of forever with the word “I do.” All these wonderful events that you’ve allowed me to be a part of – I feel so honored. Thank you!

To remember all these special times, I have made a movie of all my photo shoots from this past year.

Check back soon in the next few weeks for some great deals and promotions for Valentine’s Day coming up. And before you know it, it will be Bluebonnet season at the end of March/beginning of April – pictures in the bluebonnets – a Texas Tradition! I also wanted to let everyone know that I am working very diligently to get a shopping cart added to my website! This will make the entire print ordering process so much smoother. ๐Ÿ™‚

See you in 2009!

We tried to view the video on the “blog” page but can’t get it to open, tried 2 computers and downloaded Adobe flash player. Are we missing a plug-in?

Hey Deb, I just sent you a direct link to the slideshow movie. Sorry you were having problems getting it to work. Is anyone else having issues with seeing it?

What a Fun Family ~ Sneak Peek for The H Family

I had the privilege this past weekend of photographing this wonderful family! I have known them for a long time, was roommates with their son in college. So when I was contacted to do a family session for them, I jumped at the chance. And boy, I was glad I did; I had so much fun. Although the weather was a bit cold and very windy, we made do, and I was able to capture some great family moments. This is the largest number of people in a family that I have photographed, and to be quite honest, I was a little nervous. But this family put my mind at ease and we laughed from start to finish. Thank you so much for such an amazing session! Cant wait to show you the rest of your portraits. But for now, here is a little sneak peek!

I just love how this little boy in the middle is looking up at all the tall men in the family.

And not to leave the girls out of their moment to shine! Look at all these beautiful women! ๐Ÿ™‚

And my fav! Just love the jumping portrait! Everyone with their own personal style, some high, some low, sooooo much fun!

Office Closed ~ Happy Holidays

My office will be closed the 24th and 25th. I will return calls and emails on Friday the 26th. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holiday.

Here are just a few random shots from this past week. The weather here has been so crazy lately, foggy one minute, then cold and drizzly the next. We’ve been doing lots of hot chocolate to help combat the cold weather! ๐Ÿ™‚
