Sneak Peek: Country Life in Cameron Texas

I grew up in the country on a ranch in Mertzon, Texas, so every time I go out to Cameron, Texas to see this family, it makes me yearn for home! In these times, where my life feels like it is going full speed, it is nice to get back to my roots…. the country…. everything slows down and you can breathe in that fresh country air. I had a fabulous time this weekend. The weather was warm with a cool breeze and the location was beautiful. What more could a photog ask for? 🙂

Thank you for the opportunity to photograph your family.

This lil’ guy had me smiling and giggling the whole time. I asked him what his favorite thing to do in school, and he replied “the cafeteria!” A guy after my own heart! 🙂 Not only is he witty, but very smart. He informed me the “4000 + 4000 = 8000” I told him that I didn’t know any other 1st grader who knew how to added that much!

Here a portrait of my college girlfriend and her family! Her daughter is just the cutest! She is a little over 1 year old and a very busy little girl! She didn’t want to stay still for long.

And last, but certainly not least, the patriarch of the family “Pops.” He was relaxing by the fence line when I quickly took this portrait.

I’ve never seen such beautiful shots of my family. I can’t wait to see them all!
You have found a true talent in yourself. Thank you so much for coming to the
ranch and spending some time with us. I’m already getting emotional. 🙂 Blair

Good Morning Sunshine

“Good Morning Sunshine” is a term that my Momma used to greet me with in the mornings when I was a little girl. And now these are the words I speak to my daughter when she wakes in the morning. I treasure those early morning moments…. her hair all a mess, her eyes still lazily open. In the past few days, my daughter has learned a new trick, crawling out of her crib. I knew the day would come that I would have to change her crib into a toddler bed, I was just hoping for a few more months of her staying put. So for the last few mornings I find her either on the floor in her room asleep, or she comes wandering out of her room, blankie in hand, binkie in mouth, wild & crazy hair, muttering the words “Hi, Momma” behind the binkie; to which I reply “Good Morning Sunshine!” I truly love mornings waking up to this precious face!

So precious! I love those “Hi Momma.” moments too 🙂

Ahhh, so sweet! Reminds me of my daughter. She has a blankie that she calls “Mimi.” Cute!!!
