We have a saying in our house, “you wanna snuggly buggly?” And most of the time, my children say yes! We grab a big fluffy blanket and cuddle close on the couch. Momments like these, I treasure. So fast forward to this morning, I, in an effort to update my portrait, get all my camera equipment ready for a photo shoot for moi’. As I take portraits of myself, I understand why I enjoy being behind the camera, and not in front of it. I am my own worst critic, luckily, photoshop helps to remove some of the years off my face. Maybe one day, I will just accept the wrinkles, but for now, they’ll be softened a bit, so the blow of aging wont hurt so much.

As I was snapping away, my kids soon became interested in what I was doing. Most of the time, as with most photog’s children, they see the camera, and they run and hide. But with a little help from some snuggly soft blankies, they sat still and allowed me to take a few sweet portraits. Here are the images from our fun snuggly, buggly morning!

Just finishing up my last hoiday orders and stumbled across these few shots…. couldn’t help but giggle. While at the park the other day, my daughter became very fascinated with one particular squirrel. Ducks, birds and squirrels running ramped, but this lil’ one, she favored. Brave little thing I must add. Came right up to us while we were sitting under the big oaks in the grass. I swear these two went round and round, circling I dont know how many times around this tree, trying to catch a glimpse of one another. Until finally, the squirrel had enough, and retreated to safety up into the treetops.
